README ====== Dataset title: Data for: Thermoacoustic streaming in a linear temperature gradient Creators: Per Augustsson and Enrico Corato Responsible organization: Lund University See the Researchdata.se catalogue entry for this dataset for compete metadata, including the dataset description, recommended citation, contact information and information about how to obtain the dataset. Description: The dataset contains the experimental and numerical data for teh publication titled "Thermoacoustic streaming in a linear temperature gradient" by Corato et al, PRE 2025. The code necessary to analyse and plot the data is also included. License: CC-BY4.0 Access restrictions: Essential information for dataset reuse. ---------------------------------------- The raw images were acquired as state in the related publication. The camera sampling was 30 Hz for all particle images but for the onlyT case for which it was 2 Hz. For the temeprature transition data the sampling was 10 Hz, as stated in the folder name. The software "DefocusTraker" is necessary to track the particles and it is available online (https://defocustracking.com/defocustracker/). Reference information --------------------- Source code information: - MATLAB 2024a was used to produce the code for analysis and plotting (.m files); - the software "DefocusTraker" (https://defocustracking.com/) was used to process the particle images; - COMSOL Multiphysics 6.3 was used for the 2D simulations. Data Quality: The images are either 16- or 8-bit greyscale images. No manipulation was done before performing the data analysis in MATLAB.
